SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE (Preferred but not Required)

·      Installation of low voltage cabling in a new construction setting.

·      Demonstrate a clear knowledge of cable installation requirements and codes.

·      Ability to complete & submit accurate paperwork which tracks work progress, personal timesheets and other related documents.

·      Communicate with strong written and verbal skills.

·      Maintain a positive attitude and professional dress & demeanor.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

·      Build out telecommunications closets. install cable support systems which consist of cable trays, j-hooks and ladder rack trays.

·      Install Cat6 cable, fiber optic cable, fire/burglar alarm cable, and access control cabling systems.

·      Terminate connections for all cabling systems to include fiber optic splicing and termination.

·      Perform copper cable testing/troubleshooting.

·      Become a specialist in fire/burglar alarm systems as it pertains to cabling.

Ability to work overtime as needed

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

TOOLS: Company Provided.

OTHER INFORMATION:

Must be able to work on ladders and use power tools

Must have Physical ability to pick up 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, reach, bend, lift, kneel, crawl, stand, walk great distances, and carry material.

Must have RELIABLE transportation to and from the office.

Must have a cell phone

Must be a licensed driver

Must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking the English language.
